About: Despite growing and surviving in the hottest of desert regions, chaparral somehow manages to retain a distinctive greenish-bronze hue and is considered to be one of the world's most adaptable therapeutic plants. Sometimes called creosote bush due to its unpleasant creosote-like scent, this plant works as a repellant as its taste and scent helps to turn away most herbivores, and is even used to protect wood from insects.
